Dating back thousands of years, mummification was originally practiced with a belief that preserving the dead body assists a soul in the afterlife like a postmortem insurance plan. Its tactics involved embalmer-priests who, when not indulging in necrophilia on sun-dried chicks, performed numerous funerary formulas on the dead. From nasal colostomies to rubbing down the body in herbs and oils without a happy ending, the corpse was wrapped tighter than a virgin squeezing out a clitoral diamond from coal. Needless to say, mummification was generally not a sexual practice. Alas, leave it to the unhinged sexuality of modern man to turn the serious and religious into a Freudian playground of fetishistic genital deviance.
