What The Corpses are saying about "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell":

“This 280 pg mega-beast of a trade paper back is loaded with tons of hilarious horror stories and fantastic artwork that any horror fan would love to have -- especially fans of Tales from the Crypt and The Twilight Zone. These short stories are twisted, demented and make sure that they end as (un)pleasant as you would wish... make sure you go and pick this sucker up.”

"R.S. Rhine: 'Sickest Brain In The World...'”
Steven Niles / writer (“30 Days Of Night”)

“Rhine’s certainly a writer with talent and several of his stories are quite entertaining. Among my favorites were “Spare Parts,” a nasty E.C. Comics-inspired opus about a disaffected coroner whose hobby is collecting “perfect” body parts. I also like “The Adventures of Raoul, Lowlife Ex-Cop,” with some very nice art by Joe Bucco. Party Clown was completely reprehensible and disgusting, though I have to admit a psycho serial killer twisting someone’s intensities into balloon animals gave me a good nasty chuckle. Because it comes in at a massive 280 pages in length with 43 stories illustrated by 43 different artists, there’s bound to be something for almost any of your twisted Metalheads to enjoy, especially if you like E.C. Comics, artists like Geiger, S. Clay Wilson and J.K. Potter, or are a fan of uber-geek Joe Coleman. And as always, you gore-hungry Metalheads, tell ‘em Heavy Metal sent you.”
Heavy Metal Magazine

“More fun than a blenderful of monkeys, and sicker than an Ebola-infected tumor living in a dirty syringe.”
Verbicide Magazine

“Writer Robert Steven Rhine has wedged his book with 40 or so short stories featuring freaks, gore, sex, more gore, zombies, people without skin, people eating other people alive and more than a splattering of tongue-in-cheek humour. It would make for grim reading if it weren't for the sick streak of chuckle-worthy moments that Rhine somehow manages to permeate throughout his gruesome storytelling style. To complement his writing, Rhine has summoned a dark army of horror artists, many of whom are exceptionally talented at recreating gut-wrenching scenes from his deeply disturbed imagination. Each story features a different artist and the styles vary wildly, but on the whole, the quality is well above average.”
Grovel Magazine (UK)

“There are certain types of comics that provide enough of a guilty pleasure that one wonders if there's a special place in Hell reserved just for this kind of sin... I don't think Rhine left a nerve unexposed by the time I was finished: I was offended, shocked, disturbed, revolted, turned off, turned on again and at some points simply dumbstruck. This ain't for the feint of heart or the easily offended. Please keep in mind the risk you run of ending up in the specially reserved place on your final oneway journey... As far as the art is concerned, where do I start? There are 43 pros that have lent thier particularly gory talents to bringing Rhine's poisoned thoughts to the printed page... Suffice it to say it took me three reading sessions to finish the book and I still wanted to go back and just oogle the eye candy.”
Horror-Web

“It sure does deliver on the promise of its title. Welcome to Hell. Enjoy your stay. Along with a collection of artists, Robert Steven Rhine takes his readers on a trip through some of the most disturbing stories one can find. Satan’s 3-Ring Circus of Hell, Rhine’s new trade paperback collection, is made up of over 40 stories. In them, he runs the gamut of horror archetypes, from zombies to cannibals to serial murdering clowns, If you were looking to get your fill of dismemberments, cannibalism, and, of course, Satan himself, you’ve come to the right place. With a sense of humor that matches his disturbed imagination, Rhine pulls no punches.
Broken Frontier Review

"Gross, putrid and downright offensive. Higher praise just doesn't exist. I really did enjoy the comic. Made me all warm and fuzzy inside -- kinda like how it felt doing The Crypt.”
Alan Katz - producer/writer - HBO's "Tales From The Crypt"

“This comic is worth a look, people. Robert Steven Rhine wrote all the tales and all are very tight. The man is a professional. Just the right dash of gore and humor, pleasing and repelling at the same time. Just like horror art should be, right! Great job all around, fellas! So get out there and buy this, you fiends! Asylum Press is the imprint responsible for this mayhem which will easily satisfy your anthology urges."
Horror Comics Review

“Good gory humor! Writer Robert Steven Rhine is clearly a horror fan... he presents gory short stories with admirable twists... Rhine has crafted new tales that are definitely his own... Not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach.”
Comic Buyers Guide

“All the makings of a cult classic comic!”
Entertainment Zone Magazine

“A HELLUVA A COMIC! GROANUPS WILL VOTE IT A MAJOR MIRTHQUAKE ON THE RICHTER SCALE! I WOULD SAY MORE BUT I DIED LAFFING.”
Dr. Acula (Forrest J Ackerman/Famous Monsters Magazine)

“These are some of the most bizarre comics I have ever read. Not that I’m a regular fan of the gross-out genre, but I’m almost sure he’s created one of his own. The graphics and storylines are sensational. Of course there is a deep subtext in every story; these are horror comics that showcase the most extreme sides of human greed and vanity. read at your own risk. If you are a fan of high comic depravity, pick one up!”
Zen Baby Magazine

“Absurd, implausible, sure, but darkly funny the way it's supposed to be...this writer has some potential...”
Sequential Tart

“I fucking loved it, its probably the greatest thing I own, it provided me with hours and hours of amusement, great art, wonderfully sick gory humor, lots of gore and evil clowns and twisted stories."
Red Scream Magazine

“Author Robert Steven Rhine is a sick man. He is the guy your mother may not have liked for you to hang around or the dude your wife wishes you would stop inviting over. His brain is bubbling with a series of gore-geous grand guignol gags that just sizzle on the hot coals of comic book hell. His latest anthology, Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell, shows that he has serious issues and torrents of torrid tales to tell. These are the types of stories you used to read about as a kid and then rush to tell your friends. There's a definite EC style to the whole setup, but there is no education to be had with anything in-between the two covers of this tome. There are, rather, plenty of beheadings, fungi, guts, girl.”
